To matter in a society or an environment simply means to be relevant, significant, valuable and important.
Every woman want to be a significant being in the society, every Wife want her husband to place extreme Value on her and treat her with care and regard, and every Mother want to be Important to their children at all times.

 No woman want to be treated as a 'second class citizen' or trash as is done in certain societies. Every woman want to be relevant in her world.
As a matter of fact, it is not only the woman that has this desire, it is the desire and plan of God for every woman to be of great value and importance to her generation. God does not want her treated as a trash or irrelevant being, He wants her to be a significant force in the society. He (God) want her opinions and suggestions treated and handled with respect, and her contributions regarded.

It is my belief that this world would be an extremely boring place without women. I’ll like you to imagine for a moment, how it would look like if every one on earth were men, I guess the world have been meaningless and Lifeless.

In Genesis chapter 2 vs. 18 after God has created the man and put him in charge and control of all creation, God knew the man would be too lonely in the garden and won't be able to fulfil his assignment. God knew the man could not succeed the way he should without an important personality by his side.

  And finally in Genesis chapter 3 vs. 21&22
And God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, took one of his ribs, made a woman and brought her unto the man.
  One thing I know about God is that He is not a waster! He doesn’t make things just for the fun of it. Woman, YOU ARE IMPORTANT !. God would not have laboured so much to make you if you are of no value. He needs you to bring his purpose and desire for man and humanity to pass.

However Woman, you’ve got a part to play too. You can’t matter in your generation if you do not matter to God! You cannot be positively relevant in the society if you are not significant in the kingdom of God. You need to set your priorities right and let the love of your redeemer fill your heart.
  Every woman that matters positively in the scriptures and even in our days, did not attain their status outside God's influence. To be relevant, you need to allow Jesus take over your entire life, not just a part.

If you want your husband to treat you with value and importance, then all you need do to submit yourself to God and allow him (God) teach you how to wisely submit to and reverence your husband. As you relate with your spouse through the wisdom of God, the only choice he has is to love, cherish respect and value you.

Proverbs 31 vs. 30b says
a woman that fears the Lord , she shall be praised. (KJV).
 In the same vein, a woman that fears the Lord, shall be Relevant, Important, significant, Celebrated and MATTER IN HER GENERATION!
